Welcome to framed in beige.

I have been studying Japanese for 5 years now: originally through classes taught at my university and now through self-study. I am currently studying for the JLPT N2 and I am hoping to sit in for the JPLT in 2022.

I enjoy writing about self-studying Japanese, including book and online resources I use. I try to provide helpful tips, reviews, and recommendations for all things related to learning Japanese.

Additionally, I try to provide a wider spectrum about Japanese entertainment, media, and culture.

I recently moved to Japan, so I am excited to share my experience being here. This is actually my third time living in Japan, having previously studied abroad and summer internship program.
