Welcome to the Japan travel part of my blog. In this section, I will be talking about all things related to traveling in Japan. This includes travel within Tokyo as well as other cities and prefectures across Japan. I will be talking mainly about my personal experiences, and I will try to cover the more local side of things that can’t be found in the big travel sites.

I have been to Japan twice before for extended periods of time. The first time was a study abroad experience with my home university. The school I studied abroad at was called International Christian University (ICU). I lived on the outskirts of Tokyo in a small city called Mitaka, that was about one hour via the Rapid Chuo Line to Shinjuku Station.
My second time was a one month internship/exchange program where we traveled across Japan to teach in high schools. For this experience, I was able to travel to Niigata, Chiba, Kanagawa, and Kumamoto Prefectures.
