Japanese Podcast Reviews and Recommendations

Lately, I’ve been listening to different podcasts in Japanese. Here are some of the ones that I’ve been enjoying. I’ll start with my recommendations, and then my reviews. All these podcasts can be found on Spotify.

Recs (N4 – N3)

Let’s Learn Japanese From Small Talk

This podcast is led by two girls who speak about Japanese culture and different events. They use a tiny bit of English to explain here and there, but it’s mainly in Japanese.

The Real Japanese Podcast

Her podcast comes with a variety of different topics at various levels from N4-N1. I like how personal she is, and she talks very freely about everything and gives her opinion. The levels are listed next to the title. Her podcasts come with transcripts on her site.

Nihongo SWITCH

I really like her podcast and she also has a YT channel. She has sort of an ASMR-like voice and she speaks clearly and slowly. She covers a wide range of topics about Japanese daily life and culture. It also comes with a transcript on her site.
